This love, praise and thank you

This love, praise and thank you to you dear NHS will last for our whole lives long.

For it is with all your brave, compassionate care we feel safe, well and always treated kind.

I've been a patient and a supporter now a poet new to writing lines of grateful words of our thanks to you that I find.

We live our lives in frightening times but with you our heroes on our side to keep us strong

In first place is where our NHS health heroes belong

For all your care in the world, today and always support for the NHS is the great cause I can get behind

This love, praise and thank you to you dear NHS will last for our whole lives long

For it is with all your brave, compassionate care we feel safe, well and always treated kind

It is with respect for doctors, nurses, and all at the heart of our NHS that we can't go wrong

And to share your caring stories throughout generations as swiftly as the books with pages lined

On International Nurses Day and to mark 200 years since Florence Nightingale's birth, lights from windows we shined

To send my thanks, I would write a message as a song

This love, praise and thanks to you dear NHS will last our whole lives long
