The Covid Sacrifice
Saving lives, bringing hope,
We watch as you risk your health.
Everyday, a selfless plight,
To save those strangers in desperate need.
Missing families, children, friends,
All to keep our country safe.
We are indebted to you and your great commitment,
But you would say you’re just doing your job.
A job it is, and a job you took,
But one you bring so much joy with.
Countless people express their thanks
To you who helped them when they needed it most.
These times are scary, most of all for you,
Keeping on doing everything you can
To help everyone, no matter what.
We salute you for your sacrifices.
